About the Role

Wrongs and Rebels is looking for a technically strong, detail-oriented
Technical Designer
who understands fashion from a construction and engineering perspective. In this role, you will translate creative concepts, references, and silhouettes into precise, production-ready garments with accurate fits, patterns, and technical documentation.

This position demands someone who can instantly read a silhouette, understand proportions, and build the correct technical foundation behind every garment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret reference images and design sketches to create accurate
    silhouettes, fits, and measurement frameworks
    .
  • Create
    high-precision tech packs
    , including detailed flats, measurement specs, construction notes, and BOM.
  • Support the pattern-making process by providing clear technical guidelines based on fabric behavior, drape, shrinkage, and construction standards.
  • Review patterns and samples to ensure alignment with brand fit standards.
  • Execute
    size grading
    to maintain consistent fit across the full size range.
  • Maintain and update fit blocks, measurement libraries, and technical documentation for all product categories.
  • Collaborate with Creative Designers and Sample Development teams to ensure each design is translated accurately into production.

Requirements

  • Minimum
    2 years of working experience
    in Technical Design, Pattern Technology, Product Development, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, measurements, draping, shrinkage, and fabric characteristics.
  • Proficiency in
    tech pack creation
    (Illustrator, CAD, or similar tools).
  • Experience in
    grading
    and developing balanced size sets.
  • Solid knowledge of patterns (manual and/or software-based).
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a precise, analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to understand silhouettes and fits from references instantly and convert them into accurate technical outputs.
