Medical Billing Specialist – Accounts Receivable (RCM)

Schedule:
U.S. business hours
to align with payer availability and internal team cadence (e.g., 8:00 AM–5:00 PM ET; flexibility required)

Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years
in U.S. Healthcare Medical Billing/RCM

Compensation:
$500–$800 USD per month (DOE)

We're a growing U.S.-based digital health company building a best-in-class revenue cycle team. This hybrid role is based in Dhaka with in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You'll be a key contributor driving clean claims, rigorous AR follow-up, and fast denials resolution.

Role Overview

You will
own all AR phone outreach to U.S. insurance carriers
, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances. You'll
work U.S. hours
for direct payer access and
collaborate closely
with teammates on denials and appeals. Success in this role depends on
precise documentation
, disciplined follow-up, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • AR Ownership & Payer Calls:
    Take full responsibility for
    all AR follow-up calls
    to U.S. insurance companies; obtain claim status, escalate as needed, and push for prompt adjudication/payment.
  • Denials & Appeals Collaboration:
    Partner with the team to analyze denials, identify root causes, assemble evidence, and submit
    clean, timely appeals
    .
  • Claims Submission & Tracking:
    Prepare and submit clean claims; work clearinghouse rejections and track resolution to completion.
  • Payment Posting:
    Accurately post ERAs/EOBs and reconcile variances.
  • Insurance Verification & Data Quality:
    Validate coverage and maintain accurate demographics and policy details.
  • Documentation & Follow-Up:
    Maintain
    detailed, accurate call logs
    , action notes, and next steps in the billing system; adhere to
    tight follow-up cadences
    until resolution.
  • Payer Knowledge & Reporting:
    Stay current on payer rules; contribute to daily/weekly AR and denials reports.
  • Compliance:
    Uphold HIPAA and security best practices at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years
    of hands-on experience in U.S. medical billing/RCM.
  • Proven AR follow-up experience
    , including
    direct phone calls to U.S. insurance carriers
    .
  • Excellent English communication (clear, concise, professional phone presence).
  • Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS; experience with clearinghouses, EHR/PM, and billing software.
  • Strong analytical skills with
    high attention to detail and accountability
    .
  • Reliable high-speed internet and quiet WFH setup for remote days.
  • Comfortable working
    U.S. business hours
    .
