Job Context

  • The Assistant Manager – Accounts is accountable for the preparation of various financial statements, cash and bank reconciliation, various ledger reconciliation, bill verification and documents/statement preparation according to audit requirements, ensuring correctness and completeness of the books of accounts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas of improvement, and providing recommendations for cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to internal controls and identify any financial risks or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and facilitate financial audits.
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, assisting with complex transactions, problem-solving, and resolving accounting discrepancies.
  • Prepare Foreign Direct Investment statements for financial offices
  • Review quarterly statements for financial offices
  • Maintain TDS and VDS compliance for cash transactions
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, and implement necessary adjustments to accounting processes and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate financial risks.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing input and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Educational Requirements

  • M.Com/ MBA Major in Accounting/ Finance from a reputed university and CA (Course Completed is preferred, partly qualified can also apply)

Experience Requirements

  • 7 to 8 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Garments,Buying House

Additional Requirements

  • 7-8 years' relevant work experience in the Accounts department or similar field
  • Should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Having prior Manufacturing industry experience will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
  • Strong presentation and delivery skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
  • Must be proficient with MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
