Afrikindness is a non-profit public-benefit organization founded in 2021, dedicated to promoting acts of kindness and fostering positive racial identity development in children and young people. Our mission is to empower children in the UK and Africa, especially those from vulnerable and ethnically marginalized groups, to address social, cultural, and emotional challenges. Our services, which include empowerment programs, mentoring, community outreach, and educational initiatives, focus on kindness to oneself, others, the environment, and Africa. Through collaborative efforts with teachers, parents, and communities, we aim to instill the skills needed to overcome obstacles and make a positive impact.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Manager, located in Sylhet, Bangladesh. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing various projects, collaborating with staff and stakeholders, and ensuring the effective implementation of Afrikindness's programs and initiatives. Additionally, the Manager will handle administrative tasks, coordinate with external partners, and monitor program progress to align with organizational goals.

  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing programs for children and young people
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of social, cultural, and educational issues affecting children and young people
  • Proficiency in administrative and coordination tasks
  • Previous experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
