We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our software applications and operating system environments. The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with developers, system administrators, and product teams to deliver reliable products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for software applications and operating system environments.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Validate software compatibility across different operating systems, platforms, and devices.
  • Detect, document, and track software bugs using issue-tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and system engineers to identify root causes and ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Conduct system-level testing for installation, configuration, updates, and patches.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and security guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and communicate test results with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software and/or operating system quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest).
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and virtualization environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) for automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience testing OS-level features, drivers, or system applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
