We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Assistant Manager / Manager level) who has worked with Hospital Management Systems and Diagnostic Center Systems. The ideal candidate will perform standard BA responsibilities in a software development environment while bringing specialized domain knowledge in healthcare management solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Analysis & Product Definition (Primary Focus)

  2. Analyze
    global and local industry best practices
    for Hospital Management Systems and Diagnostic Center Systems.

  3. Study existing HMS products, workflows, compliance standards, and emerging healthcare technology trends.
  4. Identify
    core, advanced, and differentiating features
    required to build a competitive HMS.
  5. Convert industry best practices into
    clear functional and non-functional requirements
    .
  6. Define
    product-level requirements
    instead of only client-specific customizations.
  7. Create high-quality documentation including:
  8. Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
  9. Software Requirement Specifications (SRS)
  10. Functional Specifications

  11. Use Cases and User Stories

  12. Healthcare Workflow & System Analysis

  13. Analyze end-to-end hospital and diagnostic center workflows, including:

  14. Patient registration
  15. OPD/IPD processes
  16. Billing & revenue cycle
  17. Pharmacy & inventory
  18. Laboratory & pathology
  19. Radiology
  20. Doctor scheduling & appointments
  21. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities in existing systems.

  22. Translate business workflows into
    system-ready, scalable technical requirements
    .

  23. Solution Design & Product Planning

  24. Propose optimized workflows aligned with
    industry standards and regulatory requirements
    .

  25. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and development teams during system design.
  26. Provide inputs on:
  27. System architecture
  28. Data structure
  29. Feature prioritization
  30. Technical feasibility and effort estimation

  31. Support roadmap planning for HMS product releases.

  32. Project & Stakeholder Management

  33. Act as a bridge between healthcare stakeholders (doctors, administrators, lab teams) and internal teams.

  34. Manage requirement changes and ensure alignment with product vision.
  35. Conduct requirement walkthroughs, demos, and stakeholder training sessions.

  36. Track project progress and ensure timely delivery.

  37. Quality Assurance & Validation

  38. Prepare test cases and validation scenarios based on defined requirements.

  39. Support QA teams during functional and UAT testing.

  40. Ensure final delivery meets defined product standards and healthcare workflows.

  41. Post-Implementation & Continuous Improvement

Required Domain Experience

Hands-on experience with
Hospital Management Systems or Diagnostic Center Systems
, including understanding of:

  • Patient registration & lifecycle
  • OPD / IPD workflows
  • Billing & revenue cycle
  • Pharmacy & inventory
  • Lab & pathology
  • Radiology
  • Doctor scheduling & appointments
  • Reports & analytics

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong requirement analysis and documentation skills
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum environments
  • Ability to create process flows, UML diagrams, and system documentation
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, or healthcare integrations (HL7/DICOM) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3–4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Prior experience working with HMS / Diagnostic software
  • Exposure to
    product-based healthcare software development
    preferred
  • Confident in client-facing roles and internal product discussions
  • Able to lead requirement analysis and guide small teams when required

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, BBA, or related field
  • Business Analysis certifications (CBAP / PMI-PBA) are a plus
