Key Responsibilities
- Researching and evaluating potential vendors and suppliers
- Requesting quotes and comparing prices to maximize return on investment
- Estimating and establishing cost parameters and purchasing budgets
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiating contracts for pricing, supply terms, and delivery schedules
- Reviewing products and supplies to ensure quality standards
- Tracking incoming inventory and monitoring delivery timelines
- Maintaining and updating supplier databases, invoices, and delivery records
- Collaborating across departments to plan future purchasing needs
- Analyzing vendor performance and sourcing options for long-term requirements
- Ensuring all deliveries meet requested specifications
- Coordinating with finance teams on contracts, invoicing, and compliance
- Sourcing products from a variety of vendors at optimal pricing
- Developing and monitoring standard operating procedures for purchasing
- Performing other procurement-related duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes, policies, and systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, establish, and manage contracts
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with contract laws and the ability to assess compliance and product/service quality
- Capacity to foster a cooperative and collaborative work environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
