To review and update the National Nutrition Policy (NNP 2015) with enhanced strategic clarity and alignment with current evidence, policies, and frameworks as well as to facilitate a comprehensive review of the National Nutrition Policy 2015 of Bangladesh in order to assess its relevance, effectiveness, and implementation strategies that reflects current nutrition challenges, emerging priorities, and global and national commitments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

1. Support the Senior and other thematic Consultants in literature review, documentation, and coordination.

2. Review the relevant nutrition sensitive policies to identify opportunities to address in NNP.

3. Liaise with focal persons in ministries/agencies to schedule meetings and gather inputs.

4. Work closely and contribute to the preparation of background papers, thematic notes, and meeting minutes.

5. Work closely and contribute to finalizing results framework and indicators.

6. Track progress against the NNP review timeline and alert BNNC on delays.

7. Provide administrative and logistical support for technical workshops and consultations.

8. Draft correspondence, concept notes, and summaries as needed.

9. Identify the emerging issues i,e climate, gender, and other cross cutting priorities related to nutrition.

10. Perform any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
 
Education: Completion of Advanced University Degree (Master's or equivalent) is required. Education in Public Health, Nutrition, Development Studies or any other relevant field is preferable.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience with 4 years of mandatory professional (Managerial/Supervisory) experience in Thematic Program Design, Policy Framework Development or in any other relevant field.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language.
