We are looking for a QA Engineer with hands-on experience in testing enterprise web applications, preferably in banking and payments back office systems. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and security of the CMS Back Office Portal, which is used by banks, fintechs, and administrators for managing cards, customers, and system operations.

This role requires a strong foundation in functional testing, test automation, and attention to detail when validating financial transaction workflows, system configurations, and reporting modules.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Design:

  • Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test cases.
  • Design and execute manual and automated tests for back office portal features (user management, card operations, settlement, reconciliation, reporting).
  • Develop regression test suites to ensure system stability across releases.

Test Execution:

  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and UI testing of portal features.
  • Validate role-based access controls (RBAC) and security features.
  • Test complex workflows such as card issuance, blocking/unblocking, transaction approvals, and reporting dashboards.
  • Verify data accuracy in reports and back-office transactions.

Defect Management:

  • Log, track, and manage defects in JIRA (or equivalent).
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues quickly.

Automation & Tools:

  • Build and maintain automated test scripts for repetitive scenarios using Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline test integration.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers in agile sprints.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in web application testing.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for backend data validation.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray).
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar).
  • Solid experience testing role-based portals and enterprise-grade dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in banking, fintech, or payment systems.
  • Understanding of ISO 8583 message flows, EMV, or card management lifecycle.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
  • Knowledge of security testing practices (e.g., access control, data masking).
