Job Summary:

Southeast Bank PLC is seeking a proficient
Java/JSF/Spring Boot Developer
to join our dynamic IT team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications and backend services to support the bank's digital banking platform. The role demands expertise in Java enterprise technologies with a focus on JSF and Spring Boot frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise-level applications using
    Java
    ,
    JSF (JavaServer Faces)
    , and
    Spring Boot
    .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and performance optimization of applications.
  • Participate in system architecture design and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Stay updated with latest trends and best practices in Java and related technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum
    3 years
    of professional experience in Java development.
  • Strong expertise in
    Java EE technologies
    , especially
    JSF
    .
  • Proven experience with
    Spring Boot
    framework.
  • Knowledge of web technologies including
    HTML5
    ,
    CSS3
    , and
    JavaScript
    .
  • Familiarity with RESTful web services development.
  • Proficiency in Java security frameworks and protocols, including JWT, Web Tokens, OSEF, and Spring Security.
  • Experience with relational databases such as
    Oracle
    .
  • Proficient in using
    JPA/Hibernate
    for ORM.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  • Experience with version control tools, preferably
    Git/Svn
    .
  • Knowledge of build tools such as
    Maven
    or
    Gradle
    .
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in banking or financial services software development.
  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks like
    Angular
    or
    React
    (optional).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as
    Docker

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably
    AWS

    Azure
    .
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
