About the Role

As a WordPress Developer, you'll craft custom websites and digital experiences, developing themes and plugins and integrating APIs. You'll focus on optimizing website performance, ensuring quality and compatibility, and translating business needs into technical solutions. This role values creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Optimized Solutions: You will write clean, efficient, and optimized code to ensure websites are fast, reliable, and maintainable.
• Create Custom Experiences: You'll craft and customize WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up, delivering tailored solutions that meet specific client needs and enhance functionality.
• Integrate and Extend: You'll perform API integrations to seamlessly connect WordPress sites with other systems, expanding functionality and creating dynamic user experiences.
• Maximize Performance: You will optimize websites for peak performance, scalability, and robust security, ensuring a smooth and safe user experience.
• Ensure Quality and Compatibility: You'll proactively identify, address, and rectify bugs, ensuring websites function flawlessly across various browsers and devices.
• Collaborate and Contribute: You'll actively participate in an Agile team environment, contributing your expertise to all phases of the development lifecycle and fostering a collaborative spirit.
• Enhance E-commerce Capabilities: You will implement and enhance WooCommerce functionality, building and optimizing online stores to drive sales and improve the customer journey.
• Translate Business Needs: You'll demonstrate your ability to understand business requirements and effectively translate them into clear and actionable technical specifications.
• Drive Improvement: You'll take ownership and initiative to identify areas for improvement, proactively implementing solutions that enhance website performance and efficiency.
• Manage Technical Requirements: You will effectively prioritize and manage technical requirements throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Skills & Qualifications

• WordPress Expertise: At least 3-4 years of proven experience as a WordPress developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.
• Theme and Plugin Development: Expertise in crafting and customizing WordPress themes and plugins, demonstrating your ability to create bespoke solutions.
• API Integration Proficiency: Strong experience with API integrations, connecting WordPress sites with external services to enhance functionality.
• Agile Methodologies: Proven experience working with Agile methodologies, demonstrating your ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL, the core technologies of WordPress development.
• Debugging and Compatibility: Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility to deliver a seamless user experience.
• Web Fundamentals: Solid knowledge of web security principles and SEO best practices, building websites that are both secure and search engine friendly.
• Teamwork and Communication: Excellent team player with strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Jira Experience: Experience using Jira software for project management and issue tracking.

Employment Structure

• Hybrid/Remote in Shyamoli, Dhaka | Full-time
• Hybrid/Remote: During on boarding, you will work fully onsite and then move to remote working. Under special circumstances, you may be required to come into office to work.
