About the job Product Analyst - WordPress Plugin Development

Job Context:

Riseup Labs is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Analyst to join our WordPress Plugin Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress and a passion for product development. As a Product Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing market trends, gathering user requirements, and working closely with our development team to ensure the successful launch and continuous improvement of our plugins.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for analyzing user behavior, market trends, and competitor WordPress products to identify opportunities for introducing new products or improvement on existing products.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in WordPress plugin development and e-commerce (if applicable).
  • Collaborate with the development team to prioritize product features and enhancements based on your analysis.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for plugin usage, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate reports on plugin performance, issues, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Work closely with the product development team to translate data-driven insights into actionable product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer support teams to ensure a consistent and positive user experience.

‌Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, Data Science, or a related field.

‌Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product analysis or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Analyst, preferably with a focus on WordPress plugins development.
  • Strong understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including themes, plugins, and the content management system (CMS).
  • Experience with WordPress page builders and website builders, with an emphasis on Gutenberg.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience with user testing and feedback collection methods is preferred.
