Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer located in Motijheel. The SQA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by developing and executing test plans, documenting test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating with the development team to implement solutions. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.


• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure functionality, performance, security, and usability.


• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.


• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools; work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.


• Participate in requirement analysis and provide early feedback on testability, risks, and quality concerns.


• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.


• Prepare test reports, track quality metrics, and provide regular updates on testing progress and product readiness.


• Mentor junior QA engineers and support continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.


• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA principles, and best practices.


• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.


• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.

Preferred Skills:


• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.


• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).


• Knowledge of performance and security testing concepts.
