We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Branch Operations Manager, Corporate & Institutional Banking Branch.

In this role, you will:

  • Put the customer at the heart of our business and deliver joined up services and solutions aligned to customer needs.
  • Handle customer cash/cheque transactions and maintain full vigilance to prevent any untoward incidents.
  • Remain up to date with potential risks/fraudulent activities around the teller activities and exercise appropriate caution
  • Create awareness of alternate channels and educate customers towards better use of those channels
  • Ensure customer issues at the teller area are promptly raised to relevant stakeholders for resolution
  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
  • Meaningful interactions based upon speed, accuracy and positive engagement with the customer
  • Work in a team to ensure customer queues are properly managed and waiting time reduced
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issue raised by external regulators
  • Maintain and develop awareness among staff of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of its occurrence, implement and observe Group compliance policy
  • Ensure internal and external reporting timely
  • Apply judgement and decision-making capabilities when needed to uphold the bank's reputation and integrity in business
  • Identify and idea generate to challenge and improve existing process and service of CIB (where applicable with branch banking) with a view to increase efficiency and optimize cost, manage projects as assigned by management

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a public/private university preferably from Business background
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management and decision making skill
  • Attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-changing environment to tight deadlines

Internal candidates having less than 12 months' service in their current role, requires line manager's prior approval to apply.
