Role Overview:

The purpose of this job role is to ensure proper security operations of the Information Security Systems and implement appropriate level of Information Security controls and measures to maintain and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organization's information.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for protecting the organization's information assets (firewalls, access control, passwords, and account creation and administration of Network & Security Systems).
  • Ensure the continuous monitoring of the organization's networks, systems, and applications for security threats.
  • Develop custom SIEM use cases for identification of threat as per security environment and architecture.
  • Ensure timely identification and escalation of security incidents to minimize impact on the organization.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting activities to identify hidden threats or malicious activities within the organization's networks and systems.
  • Utilize advanced threat detection tools, threat intelligence, and analytics to uncover potential risks.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends, and adjust threat hunting activities accordingly.
  • Ensure day to day operation and maintenance of security technologies, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), NG-SIEM, EDR, SOAR, NDR and more.
  • Work with the incident response team to contain security incidents and prevent further damage or data loss.
  • Ensure the organization's security monitoring Strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and risk management strategies.

Education & Skills:

  • Graduate preferably in CSE/EEE/ECE/Applied Physics or related field.
  • Promote high standards of integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters as well as ability to work successfully in open environment.
  • Demonstrate positive attitude, ownership, initiative and self-organization.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective collaborative environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and produce anticipated results.
  • Able to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology Industry with at least 3 years of experience in Security Operations roles.
  • Extensive cross domain knowledge e.g. System/OS, Network, Database, Middleware, Application Architecture etc.
  • Knowledge of security assessment tools like (Nessus, SIEM, Acunetix, Metasploit, Websense, RSA)
  • Good hands-on experience developing and implementing information security best practices including experience with WAF/Firewall/IDS/ IPS/ Proxies/ Anti-virus/ Data Leakage Prevention/ Email Security/ Penetration Testing/ Vulnerability Assessment/ VPN/ System Platform (Solaris, Linux, Windows, VMware) / Active Directory/ DNS/ File Server/ Exchange/ Database Server.
