Purpose of the Role

The
Head of Bancassurance Business
is responsible for leading, developing, and executing the Bancassurance strategy to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and long-term partnerships with Insurance partner. This role oversees the overall performance of the Bancassurance business, ensuring alignment with bank goals, regulatory compliance, and optimal customer experience. The role will involve close collaboration with banking partners, internal stakeholders, and insurance product teams to design and deliver compelling value propositions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the bank's overall Bancassurance strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities and design innovative insurance distribution models.
  • Lead business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Bancassurance unit.
  • Manage relationships with insurance partners and negotiate agreements to ensure mutual profitability.
  • Oversee performance monitoring and reporting from insurance providers.
  • Drive sales of insurance products through the bank's branch and digital channels.
  • Set and monitor KPIs for all sales channels related to insurance targets.
  • Design and implement sales incentive programs in collaboration with insurance partners.
  • Coordinate with the business channels to ensure the completeness of business acquisition.
  • Launch Bancassurance business campaign according to business need.
  • Identify new potential target area and untapped market to increase penetration of insurance products sale.
  • Track performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Continuously analyze sales data, customer feedback, and industry trends to optimize strategy.
  • Assess technologies, product life cycles, and competition to come up with strategies on how business should spend its technology and resources for the growth of Bancassurance portfolio.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of Graduation/Masters from any reputed National/International University in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or related fields.
  • Minimum 12 Years of Work Experience in Bancassurance, Retail Banking or Insurance.
  • Proven track record of leading Bancassurance or insurance sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of insurance products, underwriting, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work across functions and manage cross-functional teams.
