Job Context
We are looking for a highly skilled Shopify Developer with proven experience in building, customizing, and maintaining high-quality eCommerce stores. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing optimized and visually appealing Shopify websites, integrating custom features, and ensuring seamless performance across devices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores (Online Store 2.0, Liquid, Theme App Extensions).
  • Build responsive and high-performing Shopify themes from Figma or PSD designs.
  • Customize existing themes and troubleshoot both frontend and backend issues.
  • Integrate third-party Shopify apps or create custom apps using Shopify API / GraphQL.
  • Implement and optimize product pages, checkout flows, and custom sections.
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and backend teams to enhance user experience.
  • Ensure best practices in SEO, speed optimization, and accessibility compliance.
  • Manage store configurations, metafields, and automation workflows.
  • Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, app ecosystem, and eCommerce trends.

Skill Requirements

  • Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Strong understanding of Shopify theme development and customization.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify CLI, Git, and version control.
  • Familiarity with Shopify APIs, AJAX API, and Storefront API.
  • Experience integrating apps like Klaviyo, Recharge, Yotpo, or custom private apps.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization tools (Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights).
  • Strong grasp of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Familiar with JSON templates, metafields, and dynamic content handling.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in Shopify App Development , Express, React, or Remix).
  • Knowledge of Headless Shopify using / Remix / Hydrogen.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus or multi-store setups.
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI best practices and conversion optimization.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions / CI-CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science & engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Shopify theme or app development.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing published Shopify stores or custom projects.
