Job Summary

GPEL is seeking a highly experienced
Senior Student Counsellor
with
4–5+ years of proven expertise
in international student counselling, admissions, compliance, and visa lodgment for
Australia, UK, USA, Malaysia, and Canada
.

The ideal candidate will be a
goal-oriented, independent performer
with
exceptional sales capability

strong visa success track record
, and the ability to
mentor and manage 3–4 junior counsellors
while driving team and individual performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counselling & Admissions

• Provide
  end-to-end counselling
  to students for Australia, UK, USA, Malaysia, and Canada.
• Assess student profiles and recommend
  appropriate institutions, programs, and pathways
  .
• Manage
  applications, offers, enrollments
  , and institutional coordination.
• Maintain high
  lead-to-enrollment conversion rates
  .

Visa & Compliance

• Prepare and lodge
  student visa applications
  ensuring full compliance with destination country regulations.
• Maintain a
  strong evidential visa success ratio
  .
• Stay updated with
  immigration policies, compliance frameworks, and institutional SOPs
  .

Sales, KPIs & Performance

• Achieve
  monthly and quarterly KPIs
  (consultations, applications, visa grants, enrollments).
• Demonstrate strong
  sales, negotiation, and closing skills
  .
• Manage individual pipelines independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
• Drive revenue growth aligned with organizational targets.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Mentor and train
  3–4 junior counsellors
  on counselling quality, documentation, SOPs, and sales techniques.
• Monitor junior counsellor KPIs and support performance improvement.
• Promote a high-performance, ethical, and collaborative team culture.

Events, Partnerships & Promotions

• Represent GPEL at
  education fairs, seminars, open days, and partner events
  .
• Communicate professionally with
  foreign university representatives and international partners
  .
• Participate actively in
  marketing campaigns, promotional activities, webinars, and institutional visits
  when required.

Required Skills & Competencies

• 4–5+ years
  of hands-on experience in international student counselling and admissions.
• Strong market expertise in
  Australia, UK, USA, Malaysia, and Canada
  .
• Proven
  visa success and enrollment conversion track record
  .
• Excellent
  professional spoken and written English
  .
• Strong sales orientation with KPI-driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
• Confident communicator able to proactively engage with
  international partners and stakeholders
  .
• Smart, proactive, detail-oriented, and goal-oriented team player.

Preferred Qualifications

• British Council UK Agent Training Certification
  (highly preferred).
• Destination-specific agent training or certifications
  for Australia, USA, Canada, and Malaysia (preferred).
• ICEF or other recognized international education certifications.
• Experience working with
  CRM systems
  and digital admission platforms.
• Prior experience representing organizations at
  international education fairs
  .
