The Head of Delivery ensures the successful, timely, and high-quality delivery of all projects. This individual designs and oversees project management processes, resolves delivery challenges, and drives productivity across engineering teams. At the same time, he/she ensures clients remain satisfied, informed, and supported throughout the project lifecycle. The role is central to building trust, handling escalations, and driving long-term client retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of all projects.
  • Establish and manage Agile processes (sprints, backlog refinements, standups, retrospectives).
  • Maintain transparency by updating and monitoring the Jira backlog/sprint board.
  • Ensure sprints are run efficiently with all team members aligned on common goals.
  • Monitor sprint velocity, deadlines, and productivity metrics.
  • Resolve blockers swiftly by coordinating across teams.
  • Implement delivery governance frameworks (dashboards, reporting).
  • Track budgets and timelines, escalating risks to leadership when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary contact for client escalations.
  • Provide regular project status updates and reports.
  • Conduct client satisfaction surveys and feedback loops.

Requirements:

  • Already serving as a Head of Delivery (or equivalent leadership role) in their current organization.
  • At least 10 years of experience in one or more of these areas: software engineering, project management, or client success management.
  • Has an agency background - meaning prior experience in a custom software services company or dev shop like Astha IT.
  • Possesses excellent English communication skills, as the majority of our clients are international.
  • A process-driven professional who thrives on structure and efficiency.
  • Energetic and motivational, capable of inspiring their team to push projects forward.
  • Equipped with the vision to scale a company like ours to the next level.

Academic Requirements:

Not much. If you can fulfill the aforementioned skill requirements, we don't care about the academic backgrounds. Your skills matter. Certificates and CGPA are secondary.

But if you have a degree (Bachelors or Masters) in CS / CSC / CSE / Software Engineering, it's a plus of course.

All we need from you is a super-hungry learning habit and a geeky-techie spirit.

If you have a strong portfolio of complex applications/software/tools that you worked on, that would be terrific.

Experience Requirements:

10+  years.
