Head of Sales & Marketing - Animal Health Division
Job Description / Responsibility
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and market share targets.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team, including area and regional sales managers.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Establish sales targets, incentive schemes, and performance evaluation systems.
- Ensure effective distributor, dealer, and channel management across the country.
- Formulate and execute marketing plans, product positioning, and promotional strategies.
- Oversee product launches, branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activities, and growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with technical and regulatory teams to ensure product compliance and market readiness.
- Identify new market opportunities, products, and business expansion areas.
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including veterinarians, farms, distributors, and institutional clients.
- Explore strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance business growth.
- Forecast demand and ensure proper inventory planning and distribution efficiency.
- Ensure pricing strategies align with profitability goals and market competitiveness.
- Prepare and present sales and marketing reports, budgets, and forecasts to top management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop succession planning, training, and capability-building programs for team members
Educational Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- Master of Science (MSc)
- Skills Required: Sales & Marketing, Communication, Team Leadership
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 15 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
Additional Requirements
- Candidates should have extensive hands-on experience (10–15 years) in a similar role.
- Dynamic, proactive, and energetic, with a willingness to undertake frequent field travel.
- Highly motivated individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment and traveling as required.
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication abilities with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Excel and other standard office productivity tools.
