Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Collection Manager
to lead PalmPay's debt recovery and collection operations in Bangladesh. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in managing large-scale collections in
banks (state-owned or private)
or
financial institutions
, with proven success in leading large collection teams and achieving recovery targets.

This role requires a leader with deep expertise in credit risk management, debt collection strategies, and regulatory compliance who can set up and scale our collections framework in Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the collections department, supervising a team across multiple channels
  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to achieve recovery and delinquency targets
  • Oversee daily collection activities, including call centers, field collection, and recovery agents
  • Assign daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to team members and ensure execution
  • Analyze portfolio performance and design action plans for early, mid, and late-stage collections
  • Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to track recovery rates and operational efficiency
  • Mentor and train collection staff to maintain high performance and professionalism
  • Liaise with legal teams on escalated recovery cases and enforcement actions
  • Provide management with regular reports and recommendations on collection performance, risks, and strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement through technology, automation, and best practices in debt collection

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in collections and recovery within banks or financial institutions
  • At least 3 years in a managerial role leading large collection teams
  • Strong knowledge of debt collection regulations, credit risk management, EMI recovery processes frameworks in Bangladesh
  • Proven track record of achieving recovery targets and maintaining KPI discipline
  • Proven track record of achieving recovery and collection targets
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, collection software/CRM tools, and data analysis for reporting
  • Fluency in Bangla and English
