About the Role

We are seeking a Programme Policy Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of WFP’s strategy for partner engagement, aligned with the CP Corporate Guidance, Country Strategic Plan, and WFP's localization commitments under the Grand Bargain. Key responsibilities include providing guidance to programme teams on engagement with partners, coordinating with the Regional Bureau (RBB), HQ Cooperating Partnerships, and Legal as needed, in consultation with the Head of the Cooperating Partnership Unit. Additionally, the incumbent will facilitate implementation of country-level partnership reviews and pilots of Cooperating Partners (CP) management improvements based on lessons learned and evolving needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in programme management and partnerships. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, initiative, and negotiation skills. Proven leadership in building inclusive teams is also essential. Experience in driving innovation for continuous improvement, effective team management, and cross-cultural collaboration is desirable. Skilled in partnership development and stakeholder engagement, with experience in contributing to policy discussions and decision-making processes. Ability to coordinate effectively and motivate teams towards WFP's mission. Familiarity with standard WFP systems is an asset. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
