Executive - Internal Audit for Head Office

Job Context:

Evince Group one of the leading conglomerates in the garments industry of Bangladesh, is looking for Executive – Internal Audit for our corporate office located at Dhaka. The incumbent must have initiative, experience and the drive to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Process & Efficiency Audits: Conduct comprehensive audits of all garment manufacturing processes, from raw material to finished goods. Identify bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to optimize production flow, cycle time, and resource utilization.
• Method Improvement & SMV Analysis: Audit and analyze standard minute value (SMV) calculations for new and existing styles. Identify opportunities for method improvements and work with the production team to implement changes that reduce labor costs and increase efficiency without compromising quality.
• Time & Motion Study: Perform regular time and motion studies to verify the accuracy of operation bulletins (OBs) and identify non-productive time. Use the data to re-engineer processes and improve workflow.
• Quality & Compliance Audits: Collaborate with quality control to audit quality checkpoints and procedures. Ensure that quality standards, including stitch quality, garment measurements, and overall workmanship, are consistently met throughout the production cycle.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze data on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as line efficiency, productivity, and machine downtime. Prepare comprehensive audit reports with data-driven findings, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies, local and international labor laws, and industry standards. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, protecting the company from financial loss and reputational damage.
• Quality Control & Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to audit quality control checkpoints and procedures. Analyze data to pinpoint the root causes of defects and suggest corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce rework.
• Financial & Operational Audits: Conduct audits of financial records, inventory management, and procurement processes. Verify the accuracy of financial statements, identify discrepancies, and ensure that internal controls are effective in preventing fraud and errors.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare detailed audit reports with clear findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations, reconciliation report. Present these findings to senior management and relevant department heads, and follow up to ensure that recommendations are implemented effectively.

Additional Requirements

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile
• Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written
• Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and patterns in data.
• Familiarity with financial auditing principles and risk management frameworks.
• Proficiency in using audit software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Preferred degrees are Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Industrial Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus..
• Experience must be within 3-5 years.
