Your role and responsibilities

This is a Sales Engineer role, reporting to the Sales Manager in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Dhaka, Bangladesh and will be responsible for selling of products/systems/services within a designated market in accordance with strategy. You will be also responsible for building long term customer relationships and managing resolutions to specific customer needs and issues.

The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite

The role will support for the ABB Ltd - Bangladesh, for Electrification Smart Power Business to be based at Dhaka, Bangladesh.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Drive sales of ABB UPS and AVC solutions across industrial, commercial, and critical infrastructure sectors, managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure.
  • Identify customer needs, propose customized power protection solutions, and provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales stages, including site assessments and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to expand market presence, ensure customer satisfaction, and coordinate service activities like preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identify new market opportunities, and uphold ABB's core values of safety, integrity, and operational excellence.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales of ABB UPS, AVC, Power Protection, and LV Switchgear products.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement.
  • Effective in strategic thinking and negotiation to accomplish objectives and close deals.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capability.
  • Proficient analytical and presentation skills to support sales activities.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required for business needs
