COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Catalyst Now is a fast-growing global movement of people and organizations committed to Social Innovation. Launched at the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos, Catalyst Now is now 5,100 members strong, representing 3,400 organizations worldwide. The movement aims to catalyze cross-sector collaboration for global systems change through knowledge sharing, peer learning, and effective practices. Its reach extends to 84 regional, national, and local chapters across 140 countries, with 64% of our members hailing from the Global South. These chapters partner with local communities, businesses, and governments to drive changes for achieving SDGs. 

The Bangladesh Chapter is hosted by a coalition of members from Build Bangladesh, iSocial Enterprise Limited, mPower, Oxfam in Bangladesh, and ME SOLshare. The Chapter Chair is Dr. Ananya Raihan, Chairperson of iSocial, and the Co-Chair is Mr. Ashish Damle, Country Director of Oxfam in Bangladesh. Currently, the chapter hosts 30+ members, including both social enterprises and individuals. The Chapter aims to strengthen the social enterprise ecosystem in Bangladesh through research, policy advocacy, and collaboration facilitation initiatives.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Intern at Catalyst Now Bangladesh, based in Dhaka.
The selected candidates will gain hands-on experience in program management, communications and stakeholder engagement while contributing to the growth of Bangladesh's social innovation ecosystem. The position demands commitment, adaptability, and creativity.

JOB NATURE

Full-time, Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. (Hybrid modality – combination of in-person and remote work, depending on tasks).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support planning, organizing, and execution of program activities in coordination with the Program Manager and Chapter Secretariat.
• Assist in implementing communication strategies to increase visibility and engagement.
• Conduct secondary research, compile resources, and draft reports to support program activities.
• Prepare high-quality communication materials (presentations, reports, social media content, etc.).
• Assist in stakeholder engagement, including outreach, correspondence, and documentation of meetings.
• Support project management tasks such as coordination, follow-ups, and documentation.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops, events, and meetings.

KEY REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLSET

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Canva or other design tools will be an advantage.
• Excellent writing and synthesizing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in diverse teams
• Interest in social innovation, program management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of project management or social media management will be an advantage.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Recent graduates (Bachelor's or Master's) in Business, Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Communications, International Relations, or related fields.
