We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled intern to immediately join our core team. This is a flexible role with a high-impact mandate, perfect for someone looking to apply their skills to a real-world product.

About the Role:

You will be an integral part of a small, agile team building an Android app from the ground up. Your primary focus will be on developing and integrating the backend services, the mobile application, and the AI engine that powers our unique data insights.

What You'll Work On & Learn:

You will gain hands-on experience in several of the following areas:

Backend Engineering:
Building robust and scalable APIs using Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL/Supabase. You'll work on database modeling, authentication and authorization, unit/integration testing, and writing modular, reusable, and clean code.

Android Development
: Developing the user-facing Android application using React, Typescript, and the Expo React native framework. Knowledge on frontend development based on UI/UX design would be a plus.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)
: Working with Large Language Models (LLMs) which includes tasks like dataset collection, prompt engineering, fine-tuning open-source models, and hosting.

Technical Skills We Are Looking For:

We are seeking applicants with a strong CS foundation and a keen interest in one or more of the following stacks:

  • Expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Database modeling. Knowledge of testing (pytest) would be a plus.
  • Experience in android app development with Typescript and React. Experience with the Expo full-stack React Native framework would be appreciated.
  • Strong interest or experience in LLMs, prompt preparation, and model fine-tuning.
  • Proficiency with git, GitHub, and a passion for writing clean, tested, and maintainable code.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus Points):

  • Experience developing REST APIs and working with microservices
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions
  • Cloud infrastructure and deployment, Docker, IaC (Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Knowledge of QA processes: API (Postman), UI, and Performance testing(JMeter)
  • Software observability

  • A current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A proactive problem-solver who is eager to learn and take ownership.
  • Available for a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness.
