We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us build our next SaaS product.

The Role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help streamline and automate our deployment processes, scale our microservices-based SaaS products, and optimize infrastructure costs. You will work closely with our expert DevOps consultant, who will provide guidance on best practices, but you will take ownership of deployments and infrastructure improvements.

Our SaaS ecosystem includes CRM, resource planning, and social networking applications, all running on AWS with a microservices architecture, Bitbucket Pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.

You should be passionate about automation, scalability, cost optimization, and building robust CI/CD pipelines for high-availability systems.

Primary Role & Responsibilities

• Automate deployments for microservices-based SaaS applications using CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or similar tools).
• Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS, ensuring cost-effective and scalable resource allocation.
• Improve system scalability and high availability, implementing auto-scaling, load balancing, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Monitor system health using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar tools and proactively resolve infrastructure issues.
• Enhance security and compliance, managing IAM roles, secrets, and implementing security best practices in cloud environments.
• Optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring efficient container orchestration and workload balancing across environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, helping developers efficiently deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications in production.
• Continuously improve CI/CD processes, reducing deployment time, minimizing failures, and improving rollback mechanisms.

Ideal Background

• B.S. and/or M.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, IAM, and VPC networking.
• Proficient in CI/CD automation, with experience in Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
• Deep understanding of
  Docker & Kubernetes
  , including Helm, Kustomize, and cluster scaling strategies.
• Strong infrastructure as code (IaC) skills, using Terraform or CloudFormation for provisioning infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as
  Prometheus, Grafana, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Datadog.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or Go) for automating repetitive tasks.
• Experience optimizing cloud costs, using AWS cost management tools and rightsizing resources.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, including IAM roles, network security, and secret management.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers and stakeholders.
