Role Overview:

The purpose of this job role is to ensure proper security operations of the Information Security Systems and implement appropriate level of Information Security controls and measures to maintain and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organization's information.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for protecting the organization's information assets (firewalls, access control, passwords, and account creation and administration of Network & Security Systems).
  • Ensure the continuous monitoring of the organization's networks, systems, and applications for security threats.
  • Develop custom SIEM use cases for identification of threat as per security environment and architecture.
  • Ensure timely identification and escalation of security incidents to minimize impact on the organization.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting activities to identify hidden threats or malicious activities within the organization's networks and systems.
  • Utilize advanced threat detection tools, threat intelligence, and analytics to uncover potential risks.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends, and adjust threat hunting activities accordingly.
  • Ensure day to day operation and maintenance of security technologies, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), NG-SIEM, EDR, SOAR, NDR and more.
  • Work with the incident response team to contain security incidents and prevent further damage or data loss.
  • Ensure the organization's security monitoring strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and risk management strategies.

Education, Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Engineering graduate preferably in CSE/ EEE/ ECE/ Applied Physics or related field.
  • At least total 5 years of experience in Security roles Information Technology/Network Security/Cyber Security Industry in Security Operations roles.
  • Extensive cross domain knowledge e.g. System/OS, Network, Database, Middleware, Application Architecture etc is a plus
  • Knowledge of security tools like (Va Scanner, SIEM, EDR, Threat Intel etc)
  • Good hands-on experience developing and implementing information security best practices including experience with WAF/Firewall/IDS/ IPS/ Proxies/ Anti-virus/ Data Leakage Prevention/ Email Security/ Penetration Testing/ Vulnerability Assessment/ VPN/ System Platform (Solaris, Linux, Windows, VMware) / Active Directory/ DNS/ File Server/ Exchange/ Database Server.
  • Knowledge & Certifications – CC/CSA/CEH/CCNA Security/CCNP Security/CISM
