Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain
    production-grade Linux servers
    .
  • Administer, secure, and optimize
    PostgreSQL
    and
    MySQL
    databases.
  • Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL clustering, replication, and failover
    for high availability.
  • Implement
    Disaster Recovery (DC/DR)
    strategies and conduct regular recovery drills.
  • Perform
    query optimization
    ,
    index tuning
    , and
    database performance analysis
    .
  • Ensure reliable
    backup, restore, and continuous monitoring
    of database environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance
    application–database performance
    and reliability.
  • Virtualization & containerization (ProxMox, ESXi, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Configure and maintain hardware components such as server commissioning, hard disk, RAID, NFS, NAS.
  • Automate routine system tasks and streamline infrastructure operations.
  • Implement observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, Cacti) with alerts/dashboards.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux,
    PostgreSQL administration
    (replication, HA, tuning).
  • Strong knowledge of
    Linux system administration
    and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with
    MongoDB
    ,
    MySQL
    , and
    database monitoring tools
    .
  • Experience in
    production troubleshooting
    ,
    performance optimization
    , and
    capacity planning
    .
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science, or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Provide on-call support with flexibility for late-night and weekend operations when required.
