Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and talented Sous Chef to join our team in a full-time, on-site role at FORTIS Downtown Resort in Dhaka. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in food preparation, menu creation, and kitchen operations. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, ensuring quality control, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and assisting in training new team members. The role demands creativity, leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Qualifications
- Expertise in culinary techniques, recipe development, and food presentation
- Strong leadership skills, including team management and staff training
- Understanding of kitchen operations, inventory management, and cost control
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a similar role; experience working in high-volume or resort settings is preferred
- Professional culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts is a plus
