Manager - Acid Wash (Denim)

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all
    acid wash operations
    in accordance with approved recipes and buyer standards.
  • Ensure correct
    chemical preparation, dosing, and handling
    for acid wash processes.
  • Monitor
    machine loading, process time, temperature, and pH
    to achieve consistent wash results.
  • Ensure strict
    shade segregation
    and prevent batch or shade mixing at all stages.
  • Coordinate with
    R&D and QA
    for recipe development, trials, and bulk approval.
  • Maintain
    quality consistency
    as per buyer approved samples and specifications.
  • Control
    chemical consumption, wastage, and cost
    through proper planning and monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with
    SOPs, chemical safety standards
    .
  • Identify process deviations and implement
    corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
    .
  • Manage and train
    supervisors, operators, and helpers
    on standard acid wash practices.
  • Coordinate with
    Maintenance
    to ensure washing machines are in good working condition.
  • Maintain daily
    production, quality, and chemical usage reports
    .
  • Support
    production planning
    to meet delivery targets without compromising quality.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of
    acid wash effluents
    as per environmental regulations.
  • Drive
    continuous improvement
    in productivity, quality, and process efficiency.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
  • Master of Science (MSc)
  • BSc in textile or apparels Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Master's degree will be preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 5 to 8 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  • Garments

Additional Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of denim washing techniques, chemical processes, and quality control.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly washing practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
