Assistant Manager - ICT (System & Network Administration)

Job Description / Responsibility

Esquire Group is seeking an experienced System & Network Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in systems, networking, security, and virtualization. The role involves managing mission-critical infrastructure in a dynamic enterprise environment.

1. Email & Collaboration Systems

• Administration and maintenance of enterprise email platforms including Microsoft 365 (M365), IceWarp, and Zimbra.
• User management, mail flow configuration, security policies, and troubleshooting.

2. Network Administration & Security

• Design, implementation, and management of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Configuration and maintenance of routing, firewalls, and tunnels including GRE, EoIP, and IPsec.
• VPN technologies: PPTP, L2TP, IKEv2.
• Advanced routing protocols: VLAN, BGP, and OSPF.

3. Server Administration (Windows & Linux)

• Administration of Windows Server roles including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and DNS Server.
• Management of FTP servers, HR & Payroll systems, ERP systems, and Email servers.
• Deployment and management of Linux-based applications using CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, and Docker.

4. VoIP / IPTSP Systems

• Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IPTSP/VoIP servers using Issabel.

5. Virtualization & Storage

• Management of virtualization environments using Proxmox VE with Ceph storage.
• Administration of VMware ESXi environments for enterprise workloads.
• Firewall & Network Security Platforms

6. Firewall & Network Security Platforms

• Configuration and administration of pfSense (open-source firewall).
• Experience with FortiGate firewalls for enterprise network security.

7. Database Administration

• Installation, configuration, and management of PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Database replication, clustering, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.

8. Web Hosting & Domain Management

• Administration of cPanel/WHM for domain hosting and website deployment.
• Migration and transfer of cPanel environments to on-premises serversConfiguration and administration of pfSense (open-source firewall).
• Experience with FortiGate firewalls for enterprise network security.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Skills Required: Network Engineering, System Administration

• At least 7 year(s)

Additional Requirements

• Experience with enterprise email systems: Microsoft 365 (M365), IceWarp, Zimbra,
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, routing, firewalls, and tunneling (GRE, EoIP, IPsec)
• Hands-on experience with VPN technologies: PPTP, L2TP, IKEv2
• Solid understanding of VLAN, BGP, and OSPF
• Experience administering Windows and Linux servers (AD DS, DNS, FTP, Email, HR/Payroll, ERP)
• Experience with Linux-based application deployment using CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, and Docker
• Hands-on experience with IPTSP/VoIP systems using Issabel
• Experience with virtualization platforms: Proxmox (Ceph) and VMware ESXi
• Experience with firewall and security solutions: pfSense and FortiGate
• Database administration experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL (installation, replication, clustering, backup)
• Experience with cPanel/WHM, domain hosting, website deployment, and server migration
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a production environment
• Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred): RHCSA – mandatory, RHCE – preferred, AWS Certification (Associate or higher), Microsoft Azure Certification (AZ-104 / AZ-305 or equivalent), CCNA – mandatory, CCNP – preferred, Fortinet NSE 4, CompTIA+ (Network+ / Security+ / Linux+ preferred), Docker Certification, Database Administration Certification (PostgreSQL / MySQL or equivalent).
