Job Description

The Last Mile Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the final stage of the delivery process across a specific region or division. This role ensures efficient delivery operations, team performance, customer satisfaction, and alignment with Daraz's logistics goals.

Major Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage smooth delivery operations across all assigned hubs within the region.
• Supervise and guide regional executive panels within the Last Mile delivery team.
• Plan strategic expansion of delivery coverage, focusing on feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor backlog volumes and implement corrective action plans to minimize undelivered packages.
• Develop and maintain hub-wise resource projections (riders/operators) based on package volume and growth trends.
• Ensure proper resource allocation to all hubs based on operational needs and performance targets.
• Deliver regular performance reports and operational insights to the Head of Last Mile.
• Prepare and analyze key Last Mile performance metrics (e.g., SLA adherence, delivery success rates, Backlog, Lead time) for continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular training and upskilling sessions to enhance team productivity and operational excellence.
• Lead the implementation of department-approved projects and ensure successful rollout across the region.
• Maintain updated records of regional Last Mile activities, issues, and resolutions.
• Conduct data-driven analysis to identify operational gaps and propose new projects or process improvements.
• Ensure excellent customer service delivery through Last Mile operations, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Monitor compliance and performance KPIs across regional hubs and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain transparent, timely, and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 6 to 7 years of working experience in last-mile logistics management within an e-commerce or consumer goods environment, with direct experience managing last-mile suppliers.
• Ability to plan and execute logistics strategies that align with company goals and improve performance metrics.
• Proficient in identifying operational challenges and developing innovative solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with logistics management tools and platforms; experience with 3PL and carrier integrations is a plus
