Head of EHS, Siemens Industrial Ltd., Bangladesh

The incumbent would be responsible to Lead the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) function in Bangladesh. The incumbent must be a Bangladeshi national.

How do you craft the future through your incredible EHS / Safety experience?

1.     You would advise the Management to implement EHS principles, standards & guidelines. Establish EHS Governance through systems and procedures in all works, offices and project sites. Coordinate & control processes for operational EHS implementation within the organization to embed Siemens' Zero Harm Culture across all operations in Bangladesh.

2.   You will also formulate and lead the integration of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and country specific EHS policies, guidelines, procedures; ensure compliance to statutory requirements, plus adapt and implement EHS strategies and corporate programs.

3.  You need to establish EHS KPI's and monitor EHS performance, integrate EHS guidelines & corporate programs in line with business processes (e.g. Project ).

4.     You will be the interface between BUs cross the organization for all EHS topics.

5.     Planning and conducting EHS Assessments for works, offices, project sites; plus evaluation & management of business risk with respect to EHS will be a major responsibility of yours.

6.     As a part of your reporting responsibility, you need to ensure serious accidents are reported and investigated with root cause analysis and then corrective actions are taken.

7.     You will develop EHS promotional activities and deploy the country-specific EHS communication concept.

8.     You will drive excellence in EHS management for contractors, develop frameworks to ensure third-party compliance with Siemens' standards and enhance safe collaboration across all project sites.

9.     You need to conduct TNA for EHS trainings and prepare necessary training Calander and implement the same; build organizational capability through targeted EHS training, awareness programs, and employee engagement initiatives.

Also promote sustainability and environmental stewardship, aligning with Siemens' DEGREE framework for zero landfill, carbon reduction, and resource efficiency goals.

10.  You will lead occupational health management initiatives, safeguarding employee well-being, resilience, and compliance with statutory requirements.

We don't need superheroes, just super minds

• You must have at least a bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering from a reputable university. Electrical or Industrial & Production Engineering background is preferred.
• Having an international certification on Health & Safety would be an added advantage.
• You bring at least 8 years of proven experience in EHS/Safety related role.
• Well-versed with MS Office suit.
• Should have good communication and presentation skills both in Bengali and English.
• Capable of working under pressure. Excellent collaboration and solution centric problem-solving approach is a role requirement.

This role is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. However, the position may be required to visit sites / other locations frequently as per business needs.
