Quality Auditor (Sweater)

Job Context

The Quality Auditor is accountable for developing quality control procedures, performing audits, and overseeing stationed quality controllers, thus ensuring that organizational processes and production comply with the requirements of customers, regulatory, and ZXY's own requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for multiple factories audit, ensuring perfect function of SOPs to ensure the final product meets customer expectations in both final specification and functionality.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform various types of inspections while identifying and controlling non-conforming products during production.
• Train station QCs to provide solutions and proactively guide factories to avoid non-conforming products to the team.
• Follow through on risk assessment, customer comments, check and verify all comments from Size Set, conduct Pre-Production Meeting (PPM) and start pilot and bulk production.
• Ensure style files and all relevant approvals received by QC and factory to start the order.
• Escalate exceptions and delays to team members for necessary action.
• Follow up online set up and ensure all process controls and correct machines are in place to achieve required quality levels and production output as planned
• Train factory QC, certify and ensure effective use of factory laboratory, where available
• Initiate quality improvement projects (knitting, linking, finishing, housekeeping test) in factories and monitor progress with MIS weekly and monthly.
• Check workmanship, quality, measurement, fitting, materials as per techpacks and highlight discrepancies in production.
• Drive daily production, meet factory top management and solve issues.
• Conduct in-line, pre-final, packing audit and Final Random Inspection (FRI) as per SOP and make sure customers quality, test, packaging requirements are fully satisfied and ensure no potential risks
• Segregate rejection lot and keep record and ensure leftover garment control procedure is maintained
• Ensure product safety, such as mold prevention, pest control, sharp tool control, pull test, bonding test, minimum neck stretches, lab and chemical test according to ZXY and customer standard
• Handle all the third party in-line and final inspections effectively
• Facilitate night inspections or any urgent work with special approval for ZXY QC teams
• Be transparent and communicate delivery, quality or any QC grievances with QAM, DQM, BU Head and GM quality and resolve proactively
• Allocate the right QC team to handle each factory as per ZXY SOP
• Evaluate QC team performance and initiate training or necessary steps to keep everyone up to the mark
• Make sure ZXY quality, testing (chemical and physical) and compliance SOP is maintained for each order
• Follow up buyer requirement in sample & bulk knitting, linking, washing and finishing of garments and troubleshoot where required

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor/Honors

Experience Requirements

• At least 8 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):

Additional Requirements

Experience and Educational Requirements

• Graduate in Textile Manufacturing and Technology from a well-reputed institution
• At least 8 years' relevant experience in quality audit and management as certified QA from a reputed brand, preferably in a reputed 3rd party audit firm or license office
• Applicants should have good working experience with composite units
• Applicants should have experience in the following areas: Sweaters, Pattern Making, Quality Control/Audit, Knitting, Linking and Washing
