Senior Social Compliance Auditor (Garments)

Job Description / Responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Conduct
    initial, follow-up, and unannounced audits
  • Review factory documents, worker interviews, and physical conditions
  • Identify
    non-compliances
    and rate findings accurately
  • Prepare
    clear, factual, and evidence-based audit reports
  • Support mentoring and guidance for junior auditors

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor/Honors
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering, Social Science, Business, or relevant discipline)
  • Recognized Social Compliance Auditor certification (e.g., SA8000, WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, SLCP – preferred)

Experience Requirements

  • 5 to 7 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

Additional Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in social compliance auditing
  • Proven experience in garment / textile
  • Experience with buyer audits (EU / USA brands) is mandatory

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of ILO conventions, local labor law, and H&S requirements
  • In-depth understanding of: working hours, wages & benefits, child labor, forced labor, discrimination & harassment, health & safety, fire safety, dormitory & canteen compliance (if applicable)
  • Familiar with CAP (Corrective Action Plan) follow-up

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience with reputed 3rd party inspection / audit organizations, having hands-on working experience with France-based customers' factories and brands (e.g., PROMOD, Oxbow or other French/EU brands).

Highly Preferred:

  • Proven 3rd party inspection or social compliance audit experience with France-based buyers, brands, and their nominated factories, demonstrating strong understanding of French/EU compliance, quality, and ethical standards.

  • Strong communication & interviewing skills
  • Ethical judgment, integrity, and impartiality
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues professionally

General Requirements

  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, audit systems/portals)
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical auditing practices
  • Willingness to travel extensively (The employee will be required to travel to factories across Bangladesh as needed)
