Overview:

RFL Group, one of the largest and most diversified conglomerates in Bangladesh, is seeking a highly accomplished, strategic, and execution-driven
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
to lead the end-to-end operations of its
Tyre & Tube Business.

This role requires a seasoned operations leader with deep exposure to tyre & tube manufacturing, supply chain optimization, quality management, and cost leadership. The COO will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, strengthening market competitiveness, and supporting long-term business growth in both local and export markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals, expansion plans, and profitability targets.
• Drive production efficiency, capacity utilization, cost control, and operational excellence.
• Oversee plant operations, engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, procurement, logistics, and inventory
• Lead and oversee all operational functions including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, and EHS.
• Ensure optimal capacity utilization, productivity improvement, cost efficiency, and waste reduction across plants.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, TPM, automation, and process optimization.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, OEE improvement)
• Oversee raw material sourcing, vendor development, inventory management, logistics, and working capital optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Sales & Marketing teams to align production planning with demand forecasts and customer requirements.
• Manage operational budgets, cost controls, and performance KPIs to achieve business targets.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop senior operational leaders and plant heads, fostering a high-performance and accountability-driven culture
• Monitor operational risks and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Prepare and present periodic operational performance reports to top management and the Board.
• Support new product development, capacity expansion, and technology upgrades

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial & Production Engineering, or a related discipline from a reputed university.
• MBA or a post-graduate degree in Operations / Supply Chain / Business Management will be an added advantage.
• Professional certifications in Lean / Six Sigma / TPM will be preferred
• Skills Required: Business/ Product Development, Operation & Maintenance, QA QC, tyre

Experience Requirements

• At least 8 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry),Multinational Companies,Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances,Group of Companies,Chemical Industries,Electric Wire/Cable,Tyre manufacturer
