About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Research Assistant with exceptional writing and analytical abilities to support students and scholars applying to top global universities such as the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and other world-leading institutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong legal academic record (First class or merit in LLB and LLM) must have a proven track record of preparing successful scholarship applications, personal statements, and research essays, particularly in Law and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Scholarship & Application Writing

**Draft, edit, and refine personal statements, statements of purpose, and research proposals for leading global universities (especially Oxbridge, LSE, and Ivy League).-Develop

compelling Rhodes, Chevening, Gates Cambridge, Commonwealth, and Clarendon Scholarship applications.-Ensure e

ach document reflects academic excellence, originality, and alignment with institutional ethos.-Prepare

and review academic CVs, résumés, and cover letters tailored to each program's requirements.

2. Academic Research & Essay Development

-
Assist in writing and editing academic essays, literature reviews, and MPhil/LLM-level writing samples (especially in Law, Policy, and Technology).

Support students in identifying research gaps and articulating research questions for MPhil and PhD applications.

**Guide students on argument structure, referencing, and critical writing techniques in line with Oxbridge standards.3. Mentor

4. Research & Benchmarking

**-Conduct research on admission trends, scholarship requirements, and faculty research interests at leading universities.

-Maintain a database of successful application samples, templates, and updated scholarship deadlines.

-Monitor new developments in legal education, AI law, human rights, and international policy for research topic alignment.**

Qualifications

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, International Relations, English, or related social sciences from a reputed institution with the Result 2.1

**-Preferably a graduate or former applicant of Oxford, Cambridge, or other top-tier universities.

-Demonstrated experience in writing successful scholarship or university applications (evidence or portfolio required).

-Strong academic writing and research editing skills — capable of handling advanced legal or policy topics.

-Excellent command of English (near-native proficiency preferred).

PreferredExperience

-Previous experience mentoring or assisting students in competitive academic applications.

-Familiarity with global higher education systems and scholarship frameworks.

-Knowledge of legal research methods, referencing styles (OSCOLA, APA, etc.), and analytical writing.-Ability

to tailor tone and content to academic, policy, and personal writing genres.**
