The Manage - Finance responsible for the closure and consolidation of accounts and general ledger (GL) for Bangladesh (BD) entities, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the stipulated timelines. This includes the consolidation of GL schedules and reconciliations, compliance with various regulatory requirements, including those related to Tax, VAT, RJSC, and the regulations of Central Bank of Bangladesh, is required. Completing statutory audits, transfer pricing, and tax and VAT audits for Bangladesh entities within the stipulated timelines is also part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monthly closure and consolidation of BD entities' financial statements and GL accounts as per stipulated timelines, including GL schedules consolidation, reconciliations, etc.
  • Comply with the regulatory requirements - Tax, VAT, RJSC, and the Central Bank of Bangladesh
  • Complete Bangladesh entities' statutory audit, transfer pricing audit, EPF audit and tax and VAT audits as per the stipulated timelines
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including functional requirements, for MIS, reporting, and budgeting for Brandix Bangladesh Central and Front End, treasury and fund management, and BD logistic-related concerns
  • Drive cost saving initiatives for central logistic costs / Bangladesh regional central & regional front-end costs

Qualifications

  • BBA/MBA – Major in Accounting & Finance
  • CA CC, Partly qualified 1,200 Marks (Chartered Accountancy – 3 Years Work Experience)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the Finance function, with strong knowledge of financial accounting concepts, accounting & audit standards & Sound understanding Bangladesh Income Tax Act, VAT Act, Company's Act.
