About the Role

aiQuest Intelligence is looking for a working professional to teach and mentor learners in Data Engineering. You'll lead live sessions, design/prioritize hands-on exercises, and evaluate assignments to help students build real-world skills.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver engaging live online classes at night on core data engineering topics.
  • Review and grade assignments, give timely, actionable feedback.
  • Build and refine project-based content.
  • Mentor students on best practices and career paths.
  • Collaborate to continuously improve curriculum and assessments.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Currently employed in a relevant data engineering/data platform role.
  • Able to commit at least 8-10 hours per week (teaching + prep + grading).
  • Strong interest in teaching and mentoring.

Core Skills (Required)

  • Python for data engineering (scripts, tooling, packaging).
  • ETL/ELT design and implementation; data modeling & warehousing basics.
  • Big Data: Hadoop, Spark, PySpark.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL (SQL proficiency) and MongoDB (NoSQL fundamentals).
  • Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP) for data pipelines & storage.

Nice to Have

  • Airflow/orchestration, dbt, Kafka.
  • Docker/Kubernetes; CI/CD for data workflows.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Prior teaching, mentoring, or public speaking experience.
