Role Overview

We are looking for a
Data Engineer / Data Scientist
with strong expertise in
banking and financial data
. The ideal candidate should have experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, developing predictive models, and delivering actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making in the financial sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Engineer Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable
    ETL/ELT pipelines
    and data workflows.
  • Build and optimize
    data models, warehouses, and lakes
    for large-scale banking datasets.
  • Work with structured/unstructured financial data ensuring
    data quality, governance, and security
    .
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Data Scientist Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced
    statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques
    to solve business problems in the banking domain.
  • Build predictive models for
    credit scoring, fraud detection, risk management, and customer segmentation
    .
  • Generate actionable insights and visualization for
    management reporting and decision-making
    .
  • Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in
    Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
    .
  • 3+ years of experience
    in Data Engineering / Data Science roles.
  • Strong knowledge of
    banking and financial services domain
    .
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Programming:
    Python, SQL (R is a plus).
  • Big Data & Cloud:
    Spark, Hadoop, AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Databases:
    Relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL.
  • ML Frameworks:
    Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
  • Visualization Tools:
    Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience working on
    banking use cases
    such as credit scoring, fraud analytics, churn prediction, AML/KYC, and risk modeling.
  • Knowledge of
    MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and model deployment
    .
  • Familiarity with
    regulatory compliance and data governance
    in the financial sector.
