Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Health Safety Environment Officer located in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The Health Safety Environment Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures. The role involves conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The officer will oversee accident investigations, provide training to employees, and ensure that all activities meet environmental, health, and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health skills
  • Workplace Safety and NEBOSH certification
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and accident investigations
  • Relevant experience in the shipbreaking or related industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
