Monitoring Assistant

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Monitor real-time ETC system performance and transactions from the central control room/dashboard for toll plazas all over Bangladesh.
  • Track RFID tag reads, vehicle classifications, automatic deductions, successful/failed transactions, non-stop passage in ETC lanes, and any bypass or violation alerts.
  • Identify and report anomalies such as mismatched collections vs. expected tolls, system downtime, RFID reader failures, low tag detection rates, communication issues, or suspicious activities.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on ETC collection performance, transaction volumes, success rates, revenue trends, and issues to the concerned team/management.
  • Coordinate with toll plaza staff, technical vendors, and IT/support teams to resolve ETC-related issues promptly.
  • Assist in occasional field visits for ETC equipment installation, configuration, testing, calibration, or maintenance (e.g., RFID readers, antennas, cameras, servers).
  • Monitor integrated systems (e.g., CCTV feeds, vehicle recognition, weigh scales if linked) to verify transaction accuracy and support auditing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations (e.g., Bridges Authority / RHD guidelines), and data privacy standards.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all monitored events, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Participate in training sessions on ETC system updates and new features.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computing & Information System
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
  • Skills Required: Computer Troubleshooting, Attention to details, Computer Hardware Skill, Problem-solving
