Background

As an Operations Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that our Country Office (CO) management and operations are strategic, accountable, and consistent with UNDP rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and advise on the strategic direction of operations, ensuring compliance with UN/UNDP rules, regulations, and policies.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the operations team, including human resources, finance, procurement, and logistics.
• Ensure support to Field Offices and other clients, including UN agencies and the Resident Coordinator Office.
• Manage security of UNDP personnel and assets.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum ten years of senior-level working experience in operations, with hands-on experience in managing complex operations, programme support, and operational systems in a large country setting.
• Experience of working in crisis and/or complex country situation.
• Demonstrated ability in effective people management and leading large, diverse teams.
