About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior GBV Prevention and Response Coordinator to join our team in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the GBV Sub-Sector coordination, working closely with government agencies, UN agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of GBV prevention and response efforts;
- Develop and implement strategies to address GBV in humanitarian settings;
- Provide technical leadership and support to partners on GBV programming and advocacy;
- Coordinate with other sectors and clusters to ensure integration of GBV-related actions;
- Represent the GBV Working Group in various forums and meetings;
- Ensure effective monitoring and reporting of GBV incidents and trends;
- Collaborate with national and international actors to develop and disseminate best practices on GBV prevention and response;

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• A master's degree in a relevant field, such as gender studies, humanitarian affairs, human rights, law, social work, public health, or development studies;">
• At least 7 years of experience in GBV programming, including 3 years in a humanitarian context;">
• Proven experience in leading inter-agency coordination mechanisms and advocating for policy changes;">
• Familiarity with the humanitarian architecture, including the Cluster System and HPC;">
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;">
• Fluency in English is required, knowledge of other UN languages is an asset;">
• Demonstrated commitment to the principles of the UN Charter and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).">
