About the Position:

As a Humanitarian Response Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response efforts in Cox's Bazar. You will report to the Head of Sub-Office in UNFPA Sub-office in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and facilitate inter-agency, multi-sectoral GBV coordination at national and sub-national levels.
  • Promote partnership principles in day-to-day work and ensure two-way communication channels between national and sub-national GBV groups.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure coordination bodies reflect the range of actors addressing GBV, including across sectors and categories of actors.
  • Represent the GBV Working Group in Protection Sectors meetings and coordinate with other sectors/working groups to integrate GBV-related action.
  • Advocate for resources and mobilize funding for inter-agency GBV prevention and response in line with GBV sectors action plan.

Requirements:

  • Advanced university degree with specialization in gender studies, humanitarian affairs, human rights, or related fields.
  • 7 years of experience working on GBV, with at least 3 years in a humanitarian context.
  • Experience leading inter-agency coordination mechanisms and awareness of how GBV manifests in humanitarian settings.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of international humanitarian architecture and roles/responsibilities of key humanitarian actors.
