National Director of Child Protection

This is a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead child protection initiatives in Bangladesh. As National Director of Child Protection, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to combat internal/domestic commercial sexual exploitation of children and trafficking of human beings.

You will work closely with law enforcement agencies to strengthen their capacity to respond to these crimes, rescue victims, and ensure perpetrators are held accountable. Your expertise will be essential in training and advising on effective strategies and best practices.

• Influence key government officials to prioritize ending internal/domestic commercial sexual exploitation of children and trafficking of human beings.
• Design and implement strategies to strengthen the capacity of the Bangladesh Police to respond to these crimes.
• Advocate for the rescue of victims and arrest of perpetrators, and advise authorities during enforcement actions.
• Lead efforts to train local law enforcement on best practices regarding investigation of human trafficking.
• Recruit, train, and develop a team to support law enforcement operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Social Work, Law, or related field.
• At least 6-7 years' experience working with government officials on process and policy change.
• At least 10 years' experience working in law enforcement, preferably in South Asia.
• Minimum 5 years' experience leading and managing teams of law enforcement professionals.
• Knowledge of Government of Bangladesh systems and dynamics.
• In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh law enforcement systems, policies, and workflows.
