Job Summary:
The Procurement Associate is responsible for assisting in the acquisition of goods and services necessary for the organization's operations. This role involves supporting the procurement process, maintaining vendor relationships, conducting market research, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality and cost-effective supplies.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams.
- Review and compare vendor proposals and quotations.
- Conduct basic market research to support purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
- Support contract negotiations and vendor performance evaluations.
Skills & Experiences You'll Need To Have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
- Basic understanding of contract terms and vendor agreements.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
