Role Description

This full-time on-site role, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, seeks a Technical Expert – Woven Outerwear for Levi's. The Technical Expert will deliver expert technical leadership in the development and production of woven outerwear by ensuring precise fit, accurate pattern engineering, robust construction quality, and full compliance with specific buyers' standards, thereby enabling efficient manufacturing processes and the consistent delivery of products that meet the brand's quality expectations.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide specialized technical expertise throughout the development of woven outerwear styles, from initial prototype through to final approval, ensuring alignment with buyers' expectations and product intent.
  • Evaluate development samples to assess construction accuracy, production feasibility, and adherence to design requirements, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
  • Advise factories and vendors on technical specifications, construction methodologies, and process optimization to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
  • Conduct fit evaluations on mannequins and deliver precise, actionable corrections to achieve consistent and optimal fit across all sizes.
  • Review, validate, and approve patterns, ensuring compliance with grading rules, measurement tolerances, and shaping standards specific to woven outerwear.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure that all products conform to buyers' technical standards, construction guidelines, and compliance protocols throughout pre-production and bulk stages.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to garment construction, pattern engineering, machinery settings, and overall workmanship to maintain desired aesthetics and performance.
  • Oversee and manage all technical aspects of sewing, finishing, and quality assurance during sample development and bulk production, including diagnosing and resolving sewing-line challenges, addressing finishing defects, monitoring workmanship consistency, and implementing corrective and preventive measures that drive continuous improvement, production efficiency, and long-term product quality stability.
