Manager- Commercial (Customs Bond)

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Ensure that Customs Clearance of goods and Delivery to and from Factory warehouse is completed within the prescribed timeframe for every import and export consignment.
  • Maintain effective coordination with Customs, EPZ Authorities, banks, C&F agents, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance of import/export consignments.
  • Prepare yearly import and export customs statements for bond audit.
  • Complete Annual Customs Audit on time and in compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Maintain in-bond and ex-bond records with the customs bond register.
  • Operate all the functional features of Customs Bond Management System Software
  • Timely renewal of Customs Bond Licenses.
  • Follow up and process import permits, export permits, and process necessary formalities.
  • Coordinate with Head Office in Japan and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain all commercial documents such as Proforma Invoice, Bill of Entry, Bill of Lading, Packing List, and related records.
  • Ensure full compliance with Customs, VAT, and other regulatory requirements associated with international trade operations.
  • Supervise all activities under the Bonded Warehouse Licensing Rules and ensure strict adherence to Bangladesh Customs Bond laws and regulations.
  • Verify C&F Bills and negotiate for a competitive rate.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of Import-Export transactions, export proceed realization, shipment schedules, and documentation status.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts and Finance departments for bank reconciliations, duty, and tax-related payments.
  • Preparation of commercial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses for business planning.
  • Support both external and internal audits concerning commercial and bonded warehouse documentation.
  • Prepare and manage L/C (Local & Foreign), UD, EXP, IP, and related documents.
  • Coordinate with banks, customs, C&F agents, shipping lines, and suppliers.
  • Ensure timely clearance of imported raw materials and delivery of exported goods.
  • Maintain proper records of commercial documents and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time execution.
  • Support cost control and negotiation with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant trade laws, customs rules, and company policies.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor/Honors
  • Skills Required: Commercial, Custom Bond

Experience Requirements

  • At least 12 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
